Sam is a highly experienced commercial litigator and seasoned trial attorney. He routinely represents clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, terminations of business relationships, corporate governance disputes, restrictive covenants, IP infringement, corporate misappropriation, and bankruptcy claims. He has represented both defendants and plaintiffs in both state and federal courts across the country.

Sam is admitted to practice in New York, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa. He also is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York.

Prior to joining Lucosky Brookman, Sam had a long career at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he practiced for 10 years as a senior attorney and partner.

Prior to entering private practice, Sam earned an Excel Award for his exemplary score on the CPA exam and worked as a tax consultant for Ernst & Young.

A former NCAA division I athlete, Sam enjoys the challenges of competition, and he strives to apply that spirit and his business acumen to obtain success for his clients through both contentious litigation and also creative approaches to dispute resolution.
