(OTCQB: SHMP), a Biotechnology Aquaculture Company that has developed and patented the first shrimp-focused commercially operational RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System), announced that it has closed a registered direct offering of 7,500,000 shares of the Company’s common stock for gross proceeds of $3,000,000 pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement on Form S-3.
Lucosky Brookman acted as corporate and securities counsel to the Company.
The investor purchased the shares at a fixed price of $0.40 per share. This brings the total raised under the S-3 to $18M at an average price of $.525 per share.
The Company intends to use the proceeds in connection with transactions related to previously announced letters of intent and plant expansions and retrofits at its NaturalShrimp Iowa location.
