Patrick grew up in Beaumont Texas, the son of an asbestos litigator turned judge. After graduating Texas Tech, Patrick moved to Austin and started working at the Office of the Attorney General. Patrick spent the beginning of his career representing representing Texas state agencies, such as the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas General Land Office, the Texas State Office of Risk Management, and the University of Texas in personal injury and workers’ compensation matters.
After several years of working for the State of Texas, Patrick went into private practice, where he represented a large insurance carrier and its insureds in third-party and first party personal injury cases and the insurer in Homeowners’ claims. In this role, Patrick often worked as a “firefighter” jumping in last moment to help get things across the finish line.
After several years there, Patrick moved to Skelton & Woody, where he represented a nationally recognized insurance company in Texas state courts and in the Western and Eastern District of Texas.
