Don Taylor, a partner in the litigation department, joined Lucosky Brookman after 35 years of practice as a commercial litigator with a mid-sized regional firm.  He has vast experience in all areas of complex commercial litigation, including representing owners, developers, and general contractors in matters involving allegations of construction defects, alleged design defects, building code violations, subsurface and geotechnical deficiencies, construction delay claims, condominium transition litigation, and alleged breaches of the Planned Real Estate Development Full Disclosure Act (“PREDFDA”). 

Don also has extensive experience litigating shareholder disputes, limited liability company disputes, real estate contracts, franchise practices matters, commercial lease disputes, insurance coverage disputes, restrictive covenants and non-compete agreements, trade secret and unfair competition matters, banking litigation, trademark and copyright infringement matters, probate disputes, among others.  He has conducted many bench and jury trials in both State and Federal courts, and in 2022, was designated by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney.

Don has been selected for inclusion in the list of Best Lawyers in America each year since 2022 in the area of Construction Law and Litigation, and in 2026 he was named to the “Lawyer of the Year” list.
