Brian is a trial attorney and partner in the Firm’s Trucking and Transportation Practice Group. He has extensive experience handling all aspects of insurance defense work, ranging from pre-suit investigations immediately after an accident all the way through taking matters to jury verdicts. He has experience dealing with the full spectrum of accidents – from the minor collisions all the way to catastrophic events involving multiple fatalities. Additionlly, Brian handles appellate work on his own files, having successfully appeared and argued in both the Third and Fourth Departments of the Appellate Courts of New York State on multiple occasions.
Brian began his legal career as a trial attorney for a high-volume civil litigation firm located in downtown Chicago. Throughout the course of his practice in Illinois, he gained experience immediately through not just handling the basic aspects of a personal injury case, but also by trying numerous cases to jury verdict in the Circuit Court of Cook County. Following a successful career as a trial attorney in Illinois, Brian returned home to Western New York to continue his legal career. Prior to joining Lucosky Brookman in 2026, Brian worked for eight years at a defense firm in Buffalo, New York, chairing their Transportation Practice Group.
As evidence of his abilities and reputation in the field of transportation defense, Brian is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (“TIDA”), a prominent organization compromised of defense attorneys, insurance professionals and trucking industry experts from across the U.S. and Canada. Brian is an active member of local and national legal organizations, including serving as the current President of the Buffalo NY chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (“ABOTA”), a selective group of trial attorneys that have met various requirements for trial experience. Additionally, he is a current board member of the Defense Trial Lawyers Association of Western New York, a Buffalo-based group of insurance defense attorneys who work together to address any trends in local litigation practice.
