Ben Montenegro is an associate attorney in the Business and Commercial Litigation group at Lucosky Brookman, where he focuses his practice on complex business disputes, construction litigation, shareholder disputes, limited liability company disputes, real estate disputes, commercial lease disputes, insurance coverage disputes, restrictive covenants and non- compete agreements, trade secret and unfair competition matters, and banking litigation, among others. His experience spans all phases of litigation, including pre-suit analysis, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation and proceedings, and appellate practice.  

Prior to joining Lucosky Brookman, Ben practiced as a commercial litigator with a mid-sized regional firm. Ben previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mark A. Troncone, P.J.Ch. P., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, Ocean Vicinage.  

While in law school, Ben was elected by his peers as a Senator to the Student Bar Association, representing the student body and contributing to institutional initiatives. In recognition of his commitment to the law school community, Ben received the Lex Pro Urbe Et Orbe Award for outstanding service upon graduation.  

Ben earned his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School in 2023, graduating from the Accelerated J.D. Program in two years. He received his Bachelors degree in Government and Politics, with a minor in Sociology, from Wagner College in 2021, where he also competed as a member of the school’s NCAA Division I baseball team.
